  • So, did you end up trying power scaling instead of an attenuator, or did you decide to forgo both?

    Thanks!!!

  • @ebeep Power Scaling, definitly! It's the best way to play at low levels with minimum tone loss.

  • That is ridiculously amazing tone man! Wow at the Axe fx too. One question for you, have you ever used Eventide's effects at all? I was thinking about picking up their Time Factor after hearing some great clips.

  • @SunburstNitro Hi, I don't have any experience with Eventide's products but they should sound amazing.

  • Hi! Yes, I used the Axe for delay.

  • Hey. Two beautiful amps. I think I'd go for the '64 (the Edge connection!). What were your settings for chan vol, bass & trebble?

  • @theedge269 Hi, I had them both with bass at noon, treble at little more than 1/4 and cut 1/4. Thanks for watching!

  • thanks be to the edge. These sounds I just love.

  • A couple more questions:

Is the '64 an integrated top boost, or back panel unit?

What transformers are in the '64? (I would guess either Albion or Parmeko)

What transformers are in the '65? (Could be any of the 3... Woden, Albion, Parmeko)

I'm buying a grey panel integrated AC30TB from a dealer who has quite a few, and since I can't play through one before purchasing, I'm choosing transformers based on youtube videos :( So, your help/info is much appreciated!

    THANK YOU!!!

  • Beautiful sounds. Amazing. I can hear the difference but can't really decide. Probably more the 65, though the 64 has an extra bit of shimmer that is magical. Can't decide. Want both.

  • What mic were you using? And is that what we're hearing? Or did the camera also pic up sound? Or was the mic going right to the camera's input?

  • @OutroEdge explain power scaling

  • @SunburstNitro

the time factor is a brilliant pedal, packed with features, a little bit pricey for a stombox, but you get near rackmount sound out of it. I would stay away from the Modfactor however if you don't have an FX loop in your amp as it can get quite noisy (maybe i ended up with a dodgy one, but i had to return my modfactor due to noise. kept the time factor though! its very good)

  • '64 hands down. Its tones were much more 'creamier' than the '65. I'd be interested to know if both were equipped with Celestion Blue Alnico speakers, or if one was equipped with 'Vox Bulldogs' or Celestion Greenbacks.

    Awesome playing as well.

  • Im jealous! ;)
