Rock is a wonderful thing. The beauty of it, and its intrinsic energy, is best enjoyed by watching rocks freefall down a monster cliff, crashing and smashing everything in their path, before plunging into the sea some 500 meters below.
The rock's intrinsic energy has been dormant since the last ice-age which deposited it at its current location some 10 000 years ago. It is the will of the rock to continue its journey; to grind, to destroy, and to alter the landscape. It has patiently awaited the next leg of its journey, perhaps enticipating a new ice-age.
The conception of Troms Steinlurkarlaug is based upon the notion of setting the rock free - to unleash its immense energy and thus aiding the fulfilment of its will. Lurking rocks provide a connection between us and the forces that carved out the face of this planet. It is poetry and history in motion, and it is a shitload of fun!
So get out on the mountain and free some rocks, they deserve it! And who knows? The way the climate is going, the ice-age the rock is patiently awaiting, might never happen. You know what to do!
