Mary is the mother of God, Jesus our blessed Lord period. Exclamation point. She is by the way the mother of the whole world. My mother mine and yours. God has chosen the Virgin Mary, the Holy Bible is not just to be read, it needs to be understood and prayed upon, because after all God's ways are not our own.

@HappyPeopleMinistry We do not equat Mary TO God, we pay her respect as the Mother of God and (by Jesus handing her to John at the foot of the Cross) our Mother. She is Woman (not only a parallel to Eve but a title of distinction akin to Lady). And Yes, Mary ALWAYS points us to her Son.

If you love and trust Mary and equate her to God then the least you can do is listen to her...She said John2:5His mother said to the servants, "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it"

Wow... I totally understand what Jesus ment with the whole John and Mary thing now. I've read it many a time and now it just clicks eh. Wow... that is so profound a statement O_O

Any devote Catholic who practices his faith should read the Bible. I do and I find that our Catholic beliefs is implied in Scripture...

I do not think even John the Baptist could match the humanity of Mary. For Mary, the Word of God dwelt within her for 9 months. She became literally, the Ark of the New Covenant.

Even, John as an infant in Elizabeth womb upon hearing the voice of the Virgin Mary, he leap for joy.

Mary's soul magnify the greatness of the Lord and her spirit rejoices in God, her savior. We honor Mary because she brought us Jesus. She consented and decided to say, "Yes" to God.

She said, "Be it done onto me according to your word." Without, her yes. Jesus would not be with us. History shows that she said yes, so Jesus can be born of a woman.
