Don is a moron and obviously didnt read that persons response correctly. Number one he wasn't talking about training for a triathlon you fool. Secondly when you STRENGTH TRAIN you deadlift, you squat, Power clean, Overhead press, bench press. Lets see you pull 400+lbs as slow as possible without either injuring yourself or unable to pick up the weight. I respect you that you served my country but you know nothing about strength training. Now please punch yourself.
This post was obviously written by some disgruntled ex-employee or someone that has never seriously lifted weights before. Andrea is exactly right, I've been weight training since I left the US Marine Corps at age 22 and have kept it up for 43 years. SLOW reps are ALWAYS more effective. I've run 10 Portland Marathons and have signed up again for this years run, plus the Blue Lake Triathalon. Don't listen to negative advice from people that don't know what their talking about...Member, Don Ryan
This is hilarious. You NEVER want to slow down the tempo of your exercises if your goal is to lift heavier weights or gain mass. But what the hell else could I expect out of 24HF other than some shitty fitness advice that they think sucessfully masks their sales pressures and corrupt employment policies.
When you really don't have any expertise you resort to name calling. Grow up!
