Grace Farnan became the youngest-ever volunteer at a local hospice where her grandmother had been cared for until her death. At the age of only eleven, she rallied friends, family, and others in her community of South Hamilton, Massachusetts to lend whatever assistance they can to the hospice patients. For her efforts, she received the Alexandra Scott Butterfly Award from Volvo, named for a little girl with cancer who raised over $1 million for pediatric cancer research. This short film by fbi productions, profiling her story, premiered at the Fourth Annual Volvo for life Awards in New York in April 2006. For more information visit www.volvoforlifeawards.com.
