@LPnumber1 Yeah, oh the other hand "greasing" the kid would have worked like a charm. He was an impressionable kid. If he thought that they were the family or lifestyle that he wanted, it could have worked just like gangs.

How does he direct films like this when his father was JOHN CASSAVETES?

the voice over, she needs therapy, or less meds.
-
Wtf? Her boring ass voice is in every single documentary.
-
What is up with the woman's voice over? Is she joking?
-
no need to kill the kid

If anyone knows how to join Nick Cassavetes, pleaaaase tell me! :) Thanks.

some police researcher guy who helped make the film said this movie's about 90% accurate. the other 10% probably comes from the change in names and the fact that the actor's are a tad bit older than their respective roles. like Justin Timberlake was like 26 years old playing a 21 year old. not that big a deal but a heartbreaking movie never the less

Agreed, there were a lot of bad decisions. Why Zach didn't leave I understood, but at the end, why didn't he run for his life? Why would he have trusted Frankie so completely? I wonder how it really went down - probably not all that different than portrayed in the film (which was fantastic - thanks to Nick Cassevetes for sharing his brilliant work - you got great (I mean ggGGGREAT) performances from your cast.

Yeah, Frankie did get screwed but it was his choice to keep the kid. I am sure there were times that the real kid that JT played should have let the kid go but he was too fucked and wasn't thinking right.
The kid was pretty damn stupid to not call that shit off after having the talk with the dad.I would rather take 2 years in Prison than to spend my whole life there. These kids were freaking idiots.
This womans voice makes me wanna put a bullet in my head. May God have mercy on all the fucked up souls involved in this tragedy.
