  • It will take me a long time to master a set like this, but with such an awesome teacher and breakdown, it is definitely within reach. Your shine practice vids certainly help me feel the music much better, and also improve the fluidity of my movements. Thank you Paul, awesome stuff :)

  • @mamboking138 Actually, I got to talk with Roberto Borell a few days back. SALSA has its roots in Cuba, but is from New York. What YOU are refering to is TIMBA, what most people call Cuban Salsa... Don't mix things up!

  • I learned to dance salsa, LIKE YOU did... only difference is you saw your parents/friends dance and learn from them... I took classes... And, as an haitian, I also learn to dance konpa (our national dance style) the same way you learned salsa dancing... some people are not feeling the music when they are dancing and just counting steps, but, like I said, who are you to know if someone isn't feeling the music or not.

Guess you're a mind reader!!! Wish I could do the same, lucky you!

  • i Bet You Don't Even Know Who Benny Moré is!

I dont have to know bcause i used to listen to his music every morning in front of my house!

Go Read!! and then We Could Talk My Lil' dancy Dancy Friend!!

  • By the Way - To you My lil' Dancy Dancy Friend.. it doesnt look good when you go out there to dance without feeling the music!

  • Salsa Music Was made By Latinos Not in NYC but in Cuba around the 60s and 70s .>> Yeah yeah yeah!!

(Latin rythms first played by Cuban and Puertoricans musicians in New York City)

  • I really hate it when I hear(read) a latino saying that their way of dancing is the best...

As Mambochief stated, Salsa doesn't come from Cuba or Dominican Republic... or even latin America for that matter. It comes from New York! So the original way of dancing salsa is NOT the cuban way, with back steps.

And those "school shines"... every dancer can invent his, but he uses some basic steps to build around. So... NO, everybody DOESN't know those shines...

    Get you facts straight. Please.

  • you South are an idiot. Obviously you don't even know the roots of Salsa. You are probably a lousy dancer too, but hey its a free country we have room for everybody. Imbeciles included.

  • This talented young man is capable of showing any style of salsa you can possibly imagine Smooth staccato jazz or classical salsa styling This styling is for all of us who are just formulating our salsa techniques Foot hand and body styling are all included and as we develop we can add our own interpretation Thanks for a well choreographed routine with clear instruction and great technique NO YOU ARE NOT TO SMOOTH PLEASE ASK THE OTHER GENTLEMEN TO SUBMIT HIS INSTRUCTION SO WE CAN COMPARE
