  • harper is corrupt and does not care about canada or canadians

  • @georgiewilliam I sell my canola, my peas, my feed barley, my beef and pork, my potatoes, my corn...all world commodities, on my own, and make money. I HAVE to sell my wheat through the CWB (Communist WE Board), and break even. If I didn't have to grow wheat, I wouldn't, but it is necessary for crop rotation. I make more money on 10 acres of carrots contracted by me than I do on 300 acres of any wheat marketed thru the CWB

  • @behaack Food is cheap

  • @georgiewilliam It looks like I'll be getting a lot more than a cent more a bushel

  • Are farmers doing super well in the US? They get a lot of money from the government to cover the cost difference between their costs of business (seed, fuel, fertilizer etc) vs market prices. The consumer and the tax payer are the same person, unless that wheat gets sold abroad in which case the taxpayer just subsidized somebody elses dinner.. If we limit the growth we prevent a glut on the market that makes prices plummet, thats why they created marketing boards....

  • farmers in australia have to grow more wheat to make more money... if a country like australia or canada or US grow more wheat the price is going to go down.. keep the wheat board it will make it alot easier for the farmer

  • A farmer on his own has no voice... Stop looking for a cent more per bushel.. security and infer structure are much more important...

  • @behaack Prices are always lowest for consumers when there are no marketing boards

  • Why all the emphasis on farmers? What about consumers?
