  • i believe that the caparo T1 beat all of it .. in 1.10.6 ..

but it wasnt count by jeremy .. coz its not a safe care ..

  • @Mr172914 It didnh't count because the T1 cant go over speed bumps.

  • I don't know if in 2007 they had already tested the Caparo T1, but it did it in 1min and 10.6 seconds.

And they tested a Renault F1 car that did it in 59 seconds, still don't know when did they test it...

  • @Sequisso32 Around similar time, but to get an official time the car has to obey the official top gear rules which the Ultima does. The Caparo is too Low and the Renault F1 car isn't road legal.

  • put slicks on bugatti and it will shatter any record in place.

  • What a pointless comment, and a waste of a decent set of tyres.

  • @NUMBERoneCANIAC As far as I know there aren't any. That's because supercars are tuned to handle well, not get off the line fast. The Veyron get's off the line faster because it's 4WD. The suspension on supercars is usually very stiff and is balanced so that the weight is spread evenly. If you really wanted a supercar that was RWD to be good off the line you'd tune the suspension so that the weight transfers to the rear. Doing this though will completely fuck up the handling, so they don't.

  • @Darkfallsification I really don't understand why you're so hesitant to provide proof that there is a rwd car that is quicker off the line in stock trim than a Veyron. I'm sorry I lost my cool with that last comment. All I'm asking (for the third time) is that you provide me with some proof. If you can do that I will be more than willing to agree that you are correct. If I'm so blatantly wrong, it should be pretty easy to prove me so rather than calling me stupid and reinstating unproven facts.

  • @NUMBERoneCANIAC I'm going to stop talking to you now. Purely because every time I see one of your comments I feel my brain slowly decaying and my IQ plummeting.

  • @Darkfallsification bull fucking shit. You're telling me that they don't tune supercars to get off the line as quickly as possible(within reason)? FUCKING FIND ME A STOCK(!!!) RWD CAR THAT GOES FROM 0-60 IN 2.2 SECONDS. I asked you to do it last time and you ignored that. All I'm asking is for you to back yourself up and provide some proof. I don't fucking care if you can tune a RWD car to get off the line quicker. If you tune it, it isn't STOCK anymore.

  • @NUMBERoneCANIAC "If they wanted it to break records in anything but a straight line they would have made it rwd" RWD cars are faster in a straight line anyway. This point is invalid. Also factory super cars are not designed to have a fast 0-60 time, they are designed to go fast in a straight line, look good and have good handling. Tune the suspension right on any RWD super car and it would destroy the Veyron's 0-60 time.

  • @Darkfallsification So you agree that 4WD cars weigh more, (I still feel like you're overlooking how much better a 2,800lb car feels than a 3,200lb car) you agree that they could have used a much smaller powerplant, and you agree that a RWD platform would out perform a 4WD platform at the track. That leaves one thing that you don't agree with so I'm not sure why you keep saying I was completely wrong about so much stuff. Also, try to find me a RWD car that can pull a 2.4s 0-60 in stock trim.

  • Some say...he naturally faces magnetic north, and that he is illegal in 17 u.s states. All we know is HE'S CALLED THE STIG

  • @NUMBERoneCANIAC Never said that RWD wouldn't be faster around a track. Also I know it has been proven that 4WD cars are heavier... Only by about 200-400Ibs though. Fact of the matter is that apart from your point about people making smaller engines with the same power which I never disagreed with you were almost completely wrong about everything else. Also, RWD cars will get off the line a lot faster than 4WD if tuned correctly.
