I think it's not experimental, it just looks experimental from the point of view of the time when it was created. At least, this is what I felt, when a well music understanding friend of mine showed this video to me back then, long ago. Today maybe at least I see the straight and fast developement of Lydon and I'm looking for me for answers why he suddenly became so mediocre.

A friend of mine played this when it came out. The Flowers of Romance is probaby the most fucked up album ever made, with the possible exception of Lou Reeds Metal Machine Music.

back in 1982 i did a mash-up of "flowers of romance" and the commentary of the first Space Shuttle flight. Wish I could find that tape.

Lydons music was so experimental & surreal. Still think he influenced many other bands down the line!!!!!!!!
