Dude, you got a different package than I got.The one I got came with the amp input. And they aren't the best, but they're not the worst either.

these headphones are mainly for recording not just for everyday listening so they are flat in EQ. You cant compare them to beats necause the beats are more expensive and are heavy in bass and lower frequencies. But these would be used for mixing so you can mix properly and get a good sound because if there are boosted frequencies then you can't tell if you have a good mix or not.

What would you recommend for rock and metal music?
Sennheiser HD205III or this?

im sorry but ive compared these headphones which i own two beats and they have excellant low but are lacking in mid and high... just another consumer product drawn by a big name. theyre some reviewing for you too be done if the simpiliest problems you have with it are the ones most easily researched like the twin wire... obviously you didnt know that the whole point of that is any headphone device needs two wires too put out over 120dbz.

@ImovableObject If you're actually compairing these to beats, then you're doing it wrong. The only thing compairable between these 2 headphones is the look. + I can't find anything on the "twin wire" give me a link please.

@llFLYFFBLADEll Haha, they aren't TOO bad. But for the price these are better, for sound Dre is better.
