Cruise acting is so similar to De Niro in Heat. And btw it can't be coincident, that their appearance is so similar too. Where Collateral ends Heat begins.
PS: Cruise may be a freak, but this movie shows, he's a good actor

If it makes you feel any better, think that Vincent died because he was firing like a professional, and had been trained to do: firing straight, center mass. (Right into the chest). However, he had the steel bit of the door in the way.
On the other hand Max fired wildly and his bullets went through the glass instead. Proof that sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Iv got the Tom Cruise dance scene and the "fuck ur own face" scene from tropic thunder on my page, best part of the film!!

but only got nominated for 2 oscars?..
this was a great scene, but i can't believe vincent died cuz max shot with his eyes closed
i wished vincent died a 'better' death....

i love how he just stays cool the whole film, not even losing his composure in death.. although i have to admit i actually dont like this ending, i find it rather unrealistic and bad but o well, was a good movie overall

i think its cool they chose long beach as a station name to be displayed.
assosications to heaven, resting in peace etc...

I couldn't agree more !!! No matter what anyone might think about his personal life, he is a very talented actor, who makes really great films. He certainly didn't get three Oscar noms for nothing. He was wonderful in The last Samurai too. Out of the two, this one should have gotten him atleast a Oscar nom. The fact that he didn't get one for such a great performance shows how political and what a popularity contest the Oscars really are. Tom just wasn't kissing everyones butt in Hollywood .

Tom Cruise is way underated. In The Last Samurai and in this, he is just brilliant, should have won an Oscar for his performance in one of those two movies.
