  • @naehar1 I completely understand. Thanks for the enlightenment. I really envy those who have strong mixed voice.

  • I think people will always debate if someone is using their mixed voice or belting because if your good at using your mixed and your a skilled singer people really shouldn't be able to distinguish what type of voice your using your voice should be seamless....Therefore the question is always there...What type of voice is being used?

  • @okebaram I completely undersrtand what your saying...Me being a singer myself I believe that when you sing high and you have strong powerful mix people call it a belt... I think people often get confused when they hear people sing high and it's full, thick and strong and automatically assume it"s not mix voice even though that's exactly what it is....If you've mastered your mixed voice it makes it hard for people to know if your belting or using your mixed voice.....

  • @naehar1 but the overwhelming majority of what is called belted high notes for the really high ones are in mixed voice not actually raised chest voice and yet everyone calls them belts, so what is the difference between a belt and a mix the way it is used in the comments... is it the thickness? I ask because whatever the people making the comments would call a "belt" I'm sure wouldn't be true full voice belt either for the most part

  • @okebaram A belt is full voice and is usually achieved by pulling your chest voice up to hit high notes.....Your mixed voice is a mixture of chest voice and your head voice together and you have a strong mix it can sound like a full belt...Which many singers will tell you is the proper way to high notes with out damaging you voice...

  • @bcdada can you differentiate for me what is the difference or the definitions for "a mix" or "a belt". Most of the belts people do are in mixed voice... so I suppose this is a classical distinction, and I would like to know

  • Oh wow! That was incredible! The ending

  • @hawkszjw .........really?

  • She can hold a note, but that's not belting ....

  • @theshowtunesguy Yay. Someone who agrees. But still, an amazing note. :D
