  • I like the theme music. Makes me smile. (:

  • I've been wanting to learn poi since forever! I went online and looked up all sorts of web pages, and ended up learning to do the 3 beat weave, however, I learned nothing on control, balance, or flow of motion. And then, after a while, I became stuck in a rut, my muscle memory became hardened to the three beat weave, and couldn't do anything else ever since. I think your videos are my answer to unlearning and re-learning poi, the right way, finally. Thank you, Nick!

  • Soooo...I'm already hitting myself with my poi which I know is normal, but this is only the first video. Is that normal or am I less coordinated than the average person. Right now I am considering the latter.

  • when i do the pendulum mothion and paddling motion i feel uneasy, is this because i'm new to it or are my poi not heavy enough?

  • how far apart are the tracks supposed to be? i've tried to find on both playpoi.com and through the videos but think i might be missing it ;)

  • Thanks for these vids. Where did you buy the poi's you are using? Just saw you in a vid shot in Costa Rica - awesomeness.

    Neuroplasticity here we come.

  • the feeling and the flow of rowing a boat is indeed very similar to the feeling and flow of spinning poi. At least when it comes to the hand type physics of the thing. Something I didnt realize till this vid...

  • I was wondering, what's the significance of the canoe metaphore? How does it translate into concepts of poi?

  • It's totally great that you are sharing your skills with us! thank you Nick :)
