On MSNBC with David Gregory, talking about the possible bail-out of our nation's financial industry. America must change the market place to make the American business climate more friendly to receive equity. The Democrats have over-looked that crucial factor so far in the debate.

  • Actually the Yacht would be lacquered well, it is you who will lose your job (if you even have one).

What has not worked for us is the big liberal programs that are decades old that now have to be bailed out, we are bailing out the rich execs you hate so much because they benefited from your liberal programs. Truly pathetic...

    GO BACHMANN!

  • Lol 2 stars. Rate her 1!!!

  • i agree, well stated, rich people employ people and the more rich people we have, the more jobs people can get. well stated buddy

  • Bachman is one of the few that I have heard mention the Community Reinvestment Act as part of the problem. She is dead on with that. Also, not rich but live in "very wealthy area", a lot of people have jobs varnishing yachts and repairing and remodeling those 7 houses. That is how a lot of the middle class exists. Not jealous of the wealthy and sometimes they are jerks. But, are we all supposed to work for the government???

  • THe amount of income taxes paid by the top 25% went up from 88% to 91% under bushes tax cuts for the rich, that is a documented proven fact. Oh but please keep playing the class envy card, hate rich people because their smart enough to make themselves successful and you are not. stop reading bumperstickers and look at facts

  • Raise the capital gains tax (it's for rich people). Raise income taxes on the top 1%--hell, let's go to the top 10% of income earners. I know the rich may have to forego another coat of lacquer for their yacht, or maybe do with 7 houses instead of 8, but somehow I think they'll get by. Or do you think the rich are overtaxed now, Maxipad? We've had unbridled--and unregulated--salaries in the boardrooms of the financial sector, and cut their taxes under Bush. See how well that's worked out for us?

  • Drilling and cutting taxes will help the economy bonehead, government is growing and growing and bleeding the public dry. By the way moron, name another leader that has a better idea. Typical liberal, you gripe and gripe but have no ideas yourself so you insult people you don't like while not offering up a singe idea.

  • For starters, Maxipad, I'm not running for anything, I haven't sat on the House Financial Services Committee pretending to be a congresswoman for the past two years, and I don't try to claim to be a tax expert like the simpleton who claims to represent us. That's why we elect leaders--to come up with solutions. Do YOU think drilling in a wildlife refuge and cutting corporate and capital gains taxes is the right solution to our current crisis, Maxipad? Beyond that, just what has she offered up?

  • Okay, your such a genius yourself, you explain the direct causes. THen you should do what no other liberal in history has ever done and offer a solution.

  • Bachmann says the financial crisis is the cause of too much intervention, and the solution is to: drill in ANWR, suspend the capital gains tax and cut the corporate income tax. Good luck masking those arguments. This moron is a tax attorney? And sits on the Financial Services Committee? She makes Sarah Palin look like a genius--and Palin has all the intellect of a garden slug.
