Scoot-badoot!!! Just picked up a 2010 Honda Elite 110 Scooter. Here's my first thoughts and an overview of the different features of this scoot. Overall, I think it's a great ride and I'd highly recommend checking one out if you're in the market.

  • Hi Mike. In the state I live in, you can drive a 50-cc w/ no tags, insurance, or license. I have to drive 20 miles to work and just can't see a Ruckus @ 30 mph doing this everyday. It is a rural ride, mostly 55 mph zones, but still legal for a scooter if you have a helmet. Do you think just upon a glance this would pass as a 50-cc, or is it obvious that it is something larger?

  • @TarHeelKid100 Well tough call, but if I was going to invest a couple grand in something, I'd just do it the right way. Insurance is less than $100 a year, which is way less than a ticket for driving an unregistered, uninsured vehicle.

  • Greetings. I am curious. How comfortable is it for a passenger? Both myself and my wife are not real tall(5'4 - 5'6) and both weigh between 120 - 130 LB. Do you know how fast it can go with two? I've read where it will get up to about 48-49 mph with two people. I am looking at one soon to purchase probably in March. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • @libbymycat I think it's real comfortable. I'm 5'9/185 and the passenger I've had on it the most was 5'4/120. It's hard to say how fast it would be because where I live is hilly just about everywhere, but I could see 48-49 mph being realistic on flat ground. With a passenger, I've never had any problem on normal non-highway roads, even with the hills. It doesn't seem to slow down that much. It does slow down, but even on the steepest hill, I've still been able to maintain 35-40mph.

  • Big question on these bikes. I have an old '81 Honda c70 Passport, and it has a 3 speed clutch less manual. Does this only have 1 speed like the ruckus? No

Clutch I noticed. Always wondered that, dont see a place for a foot operated gear lever like my c70.

  • @LaPavoniMac The c70 has a semi-automatic 3-speed trans that gets shifted, but with no clutch lever. These Elites have a CVT transmission, which is basically a belt and a pulley with a variable diameter, so it has the ability to act as many different gear sizes, so yes, it's like the Ruckus.

  • @TarHeelKid100 ... I agree with Mikepags... any cop would know that a 50 cc scooter can't go 55 mph... I know, there is probably someone on here that has souped up a 50 cc to go a million miles per hour, but don't risk it. At a glance the scooter looks quite a bit bigger than a Ruckus or a Metropolitan.

  • Great video very helpful like others have said its so much better hearing from someone who owns one rather than just a pushy salesman looking to make a quick sale and get his bonus! Thanks I'm hopeing to trade my Honda cg in and go got one of these instead. Happy days!!

  • mikepags:

Thanks for your response. That is very helpful to me in being comfortable with my plans. It's really best to ask someone who actually owns a Honda Elite rather than just asking the sales person who wants to sell you one or going on the Honda web site. So thanks so very much for your reply.

  • thanks dude this video was very helpful!!!

  • @mikepags huh! That is REALLY cool! I love my c70, something about gears and a chaindrive, just VERY mechanical, and I love that feel. But the CVT transmissions cut down on vibration and noise too. Both very cool designs.
