My Grandma is from Buffalo and lives in the Tonawanda area she used to shop there I was wondering if the place still existed but I guess not

The Bells in the Cleve-Hill Plaza was an independently owned supermarket from late '93-1995, then it became a medical center.
-
The Bells on Main Street in Williamsville later became Quality and now it's a Tops.
-
I wonder if Canisius' Sunday grocery shuttle went there at the time?
-
We shopped at Bells in Clarence NY from 1968-1974

One last thing... what was Mayback's?

@tjfreak I and my folks moved to WNY in 1980. Within our first 2 yrs. here we've been to Two Guys and Twin Fair/Gold Circle.
I LOVED the bowling alley game at Two Guys!
Sorry, but I don't recall Fun 'N Games park, the Wild mouse, or the Blue Whale car wash all that well.

@StukInBuf Sorry to do the whole memory lane thing, I don't run into people familiar with that area from the 60's - 70's very often..so do you remember Fun 'N Games park & the Wild mouse & the Blue Whale car wash ? lol.. & Maybacks

@tjfreak I remember Two Guys on Walden long before Wegmans and the Galleria came there. I also recall the Boulevard/Sheridan location. And long before that, they were a big fixture in the NYC shopping scene, along with Alexanders, Korvettes, and A & S.
Twin Fair used to be at Walden/Dick, then it became a Gold Circle, and now... is it a paint store, or a bank or something?

@tommyboy6181 The Dick/Urban location was across from Wegmans, then moved further south on Dick behind Ponderosa in early 1987 at Barnabas. Eventually, Bells went to Quality... and eventually closed down. It's now a medical center.
Bells' original Dick/Urban digs... it's a VALU hardware store.
Ponderosa at Dick/Barnabas... it's the Duff's where Obama was called "hottie" by some gal.
The Wegmans... it was ripped down, and then rebuilt again in 2006. Family members of mine work there.
If you drive down Rt 31 through Medina / Shelby Center area, where is splits between Rt 31/31A in the Maple Ridge Plaza - there are still signs in the window for Bells. There is a rundown Ames in the same plaza.
