In 2009 Pan Mass Challenge riders raised a total of $30,384,200 for the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, with your help I was able to raise $4,200. I'll be doing it all again this year, 200 miles in 2 days, on a bike, from Sturbridge, MA all the way to Provincetown, MA. (:-)
Cancer research is a cause close to my heart. Our family has been touched by cancer like so many others. My mother-in-law Brenda Blake passed away in April 2007 from lung cancer. Less than 2 years later, my father-in-law, Jim Blake or Pops as I call him, was diagnosed with stomach cancer and passed away shortly before my 2009 PMC ride.
I'm riding because I can, in the hopes that the money raised will one day end the pain and suffering cancer brings. With $270,000,000 raised since the PMC started 31 years ago, the PMC is the single largest contributor to the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Please donate if you can, as little, or as much as you like. Feel free to check my blog which I'll update on my road to the 2010 PMC ( http://zerotopanmass.wordpress.com ).
Thanks!
-Tim
