CM7.1 is now available for the HP TouchPad, which means anyone can install Android on the tablet and dual boot Android and webOS.

There are still a few kinks to work out, but for the most part the tablet feels quite snappy with Android, and most apps work as you'd expect -- even Netflix.

  • @BradLinder Hello Brad. my bro gave me hp touchpad, i tried all the reset options but it still has 6 GB space consumed. i tried webos doctor and a few more things but it wont work. i want it back to stock version. i want to know whats consuming the 6gb space. Help me out please.

  • Great video for a dork like me who is scared of installing android and fucking up my touch pad....i bought mine for 299 :( will wait for another 6 months to see what happens with the development and also to see if open source does anything with the web os software. Thanks for posting :)

  • @jage187 You could always install CM7 and then try to install this app. I don't have one myself, but this shouldn't be too difficult.
