"One of my favorite modules is the E-Mu Vintage Pro. It's the art rocker's wet dream... Mellotrons, B3's, ARP, Moog (Taurus too!), Rhodes Piano, Farfisa, etc. For analog stuff, I like the Nord Lead series. I have the NL2 rack module."
To be clear, I think that's exactly what you're doing in this instance: You're using racism as a weapon to further your mission to convince everyone that C-A is a band who's... only a little bit better than King Crimson.
And I must say: The lingering racism in the U.S. is extremely nauseating. But what I find even more detestable and irresponsible than the "obvious" racism is the way (sometimes highly educated) folks use racism to manipulate people. I think that's one reason why it's just not (even up north) getting any better: Racism still "works" for a lot of people. Very depressing...
So Sam is "hamming up" his own accent? Huh. You know, he's been on Cool Cown for over a decade (I think he's still friends with the producer of the show) and has several friends in Chicago who watch the show (and he has or had a show of his own, too); to the best of my knowledge, you're the first person to cry "racism." You might wanna ask the producer about that one, though. I'm just a dumb southerner, I mean, Canadian.
Easy, Spock! I never said that (duh) slavery was not racist or that it's OK to make fun of Pakistani people. It is a little funny, however, that you're the one carrying the PC mantle, yet you're the one who referred to a Pakistani as a Mexican. That's a pretty ocean-sized blunder!
One guy I work with is very annoyed and went on about how he is tired of South Asians being portrayed as idiots and convenience store clerks and people mocking the accent. I saw from another video that Sam is really hamming up the accent. Anyway, I had to hear an earful about how they are Americas doctors and engineers, and blah blah Americans are too busy finger-banging Mary Jane Rottencrotch to crack open a book and learn how to... blah blah...
This is making fun of the way he speaks and his accent. Even in HR training, they said it is not appropriate to make fun of people's accents. Then he's flying around on a magic bed like Ali Baba? Why not have him slaughering a goat and then firing an AK in the air? Hey, throw in a Confederate flag, and you got a show. I showed this to some South Asians I work with and they thought it was in poor taste.
I was at this show - one of the best shows I've of theirs.

The cheap stereotype of Asian's and their love of Cheap Trick cover bands was uncalled for. It's obvious I thought Budokan was in Pakistan.
