Fuck YWAM.. They're a total cult. I went through their DTS in Kailua-Kona in Hawaii. They teach you to ultra revere your leadership there. I remember when we met Loren Cunningham's wife, they treated the moment as if we should worship her for having the honor.. They're a spiritually abusive, guilt tripping and hypocritical cult. Avoid at all costs. If you want to know God, just pick up a Bible and read it.

I know I enjoyed my time working with YWAM. I did a DTS and an SOW. It has really shown me that I have a heart to work in missions and to share God's love in this way. I am open to working with different ministries but I will always appreciate what God has done in my life through that time. I look forward to continuing to live missionally.

@preparetheway1 No problem! I just want to tell everyone the truth! And as for your daughter she is going to be so astonished by everything she witnesses and see's. Regardless as to where she is in her faith she is going to grow and just amaze you. My mum was worried too, very worried in fact. I was 18 when i first went, Just a few weeks out from graduating highschool. In fact Im glad your concerned just because that shows your a loving and caring mum. And there is nothing greater than that.

For the skeptics, I have just finished my DTS & SOE at the Tyler TX. campus. I have never been among such loving Godly people. I have alot of bad experiences with the christian community, yet there they showed me true love, true community, and the true God. I was surrounded by brilliant people who love, know, and teach about God, and also bring in extraordinary teachers. Even teachers that dont share the same view points. This allows you to make your own decisions and viewpoints. YWAM rules.

YWAM = BUNCH OF BUMS LIVING FROM "DONATIONS" OF FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CHURCH, TRYING TO BE "COOL" IN THE WORLD AND THINK THEY ARE "BETTER" AND "HAPPIER" THAN THE REST BY HAVING THAT "BUM-HIPPIE-COMMUNITY LIFESTYLE"

YWAM SUCKS! DTS = EXPENSIVE CRAPPY "EDUCATION" (SPEND THAT MONEY ON REAL EDUCATION (A REAL CERTIFICATE) AND BE PRODUCTIVE IN THE REAL WORLD) THAN WASTING TIME & MONEY WITH AN ABUSIVE CONTROLLING CULT.

My parents have been a part of ywam for years since 1989, and I have to say they are feeled with the spirit. My is a cook, I agree with what one had wrote, there maybe those that are not and then those that are. the ywam ministries have helped many people. Who I we to judge?
