@hanscarter i like accelerate. new adventures in hi-fi is my favourite but accelerate has some wicked stuff on it. people just overreact to change, in general, i think. even if it's a change that points back to the past.

One thing I don't understand is a lot of people called this album a "departure" for r.e.m.because it was a harder sound. It reminded me more of early r.e.m. I loved r.e.m. for the longest time but stopped listening to them back in 1994/1995 until they released ACCELERATE. Now that they've gone back to what made me fall in love with them back in the mid-80's I can't stop listening to them.
