  • tiger has repeatedly admitted to hating his dip, and says he has been fighting it his entire career. just because johnny and brandel did it doesn't mean they believe in it

  • @retreattodefeat Oh yeah, I guess that's why Foley just published a short article in Golf Digest stating that "dipping" (lowering, using the ground) is good and that Tiger has been incorporating it with great success his entire career. And who cares what Chamblee and Miller "believe in". They both lowered in the forward swing and both were good. You think Byron Nelson "believed" in dipping like he did? If he saw his swing on video he wouldn't be dumb enough to call it a mistake.

  • Chamblee makes my blood boil (PROB MORE THAN MILLER DOES YOURS!)

look at tiger 2000 vs. tiger 2008. in both swings he has a pronounced "dip" in his earlier years he didn't lose his stability thru impact. that appears to be the main difference. he used to set up farther from the ball as well. another pga instructor with handle 'gaggleofbombers' has a nice vid on this! but well done on this one, Wayne!

  • @MrSteckleinjr Chamblee has replaced Miller as the most annoying announcer on television. He has a particularly mean spirited, caustic, graceless approach, and totally lacks Miller's respectful attitude to the players he is criticizing.

  • How does Chamblee's swing come into play with these legends, LOL. Looking at Chamblee's swing I can see why he never won a major. Btw, what do have against johnny Miller? It seems every chance you get you are taking shots at him.

  • @SwingItLikeMoe That was a year ago. Miller provides endless opportunities for commentary on his commentary, but I have been leaving it alone. The entertainment value is priceless. I don't really need to point out why some of the things he says are so ridiculous. I suppose if I had to fill that much time I might come up with some gems but somehow I don't think so. Miller is 100% unique. I love watching him just to see what he'll say next. Kind of like auto racing.

  • If Im not supposed to compress into the ground, how else can I create power in my swing? Wouldn't be all upperbody movement or sliding back and forth? It would make sense to me not to compress into the ground if I have bad knees or similar problems.

    Great video! :)

  • @rw5791 11 in a row...18 total for that year.

  • I recently heard Chamblee downplaying Byron Nelson's 11 wins in a row in 1945 saying it wasn't that great of an accomplishment because the field wasn't as strong due to many players were at war at the time. That was a douchebag thing to say. I still think Miller is the worst.

  • Compression. They all naturally and prob subconsciously 'dip' to achieve compression. I think :)

  • Wayne: How do you add a related article to your video like that? I posted this video in the Facebook Golf Teaching Pro group just now. Great observations.
