hi Danvoiles thanks again for answering my questions. Im impressed that you ran your 22 hp motor for more than 4to5 hrs.I watched your video and notice your camrashowed the inside of the 7 inch fire tube. did your engine run continous. while you fed the fire tube.with wood chunks. did you put many chunks in at a time. or just enough to keep it going. may be thats the secret in preventing bridging.. I ment the poker on top of the fire tube, how often you operate it Thanks John93667 Keep Faith

@john93667 hey john that poker goes off about every min and a half yes the engine ran the whole time. i did both ; fed chips slowly and filled the tube up so that the poker could reach the chips. when the tube was full i manually poked the chips about every fifteen min.i found out after about the first 30 min of running gasifier the chips seem to slide down the tube easier .the fire in the tube will migrate up if you dont keep maximum air pulling through the firetube have fun

IS YOUR UNIT THE SAME . @john93667 hey john i have 7in tube ith a flat grate. i probably get alittle more char wiyh this grate but i can clear the grate if i have to. the grate poker goes off every 4 min. it will produce more char when the grate gets shaken more often. since that video ive ran the gasifier till i got tried of burning up my wood between 4 to 5 hrs on my 22hp motor. these are good ;ittle gasifiers keep it running full bore and have fun

Hello Danvoiles MY gasifier quits after 15 minutes. even though I feed the fire tube with wood chips. What do you think is the problem. Thank You John Millard millard1@mhonline .net

@john93667 john make sure ur chips are feeding down the tube and not bridging try slowing down the suction blower u maybe burning the gas as u make it. my gasifier will start making burnable gas at first then quits for ten fifteen minutes until temperatures come up.it helps when i start the blower slowly at first get a sustained burning gas. then speed it up as things get hotter gas temp coming out of gasifier should be about 250 F over 325F ur blowers too fast try that let me know

Danvoiles Thanks again for your expert advice. Yes I believe there is not enugh air suction with my 5hp engine thus fire comming up the tube. the engine only runs at 1800 rpm yet it runs fine for at least 15 minutes.and when I adjust the air for the sweet spot it lowers the suction from the filter. do you have any j tubes feeding air down in the fire zone. through nozels. I believe you don't because the top is open on your fire tube.Its winter catskill Mtns no work on it to spring. John93667

@urgentcareguy3 they are fuel shutoff solenoids 12 volt that go on machinery like backhoes. i now also put 12 volt timers on them that go off every few minutes. thanks for the comment

The solenoids are pretty cool. What did you say they are from?
