How to do basic Hollywood Special Effects

It's a mock educational TV show. In this episode we learn out to do basic Special Effects.

you think you can you do something similar with imovie?

You know what, I think imovie should be able to pull off these effects just fine. Maybe except for the ghosting effect.  I'm not sure how to put layers of video on top of each other in imovie and decrease their transparency. I'd have to experiment with that. If you try them out lemme know how it turns out!
