@Matthewlovesanime That's the irony lol as Hitchens said 'Why do we have free will? Because we don't have any other choice but to have free will." That's what I was getting at with the irony thing. I myself am an atheist, so I don't believe there is any god at all, however, being uncertain, I will not assert that there is not. If I did that, I'd be as bad as the people that assert there is one.

@tetetmalabanan I'm not sure what side you're on here but I get what you're saying. Actually, I haven't had a cell phone for about 3 years now. It'd be nice to have one, but I manage lol I do like that phrasing at the end though "God gave us free will, but science is the proof that if you do something stupid, there will be consequences." That's pretty clever. God as an intelligent being FORCED this free will on us, it was his will, where as Nature has no bias, it's more an irony of existence.

Humans tend to accept what is good for them, it's for their survival for "God's" sake, but if its bad need I say more? I say God gave us the free will and Science is their proof that if you do something stupid there will be consequences.

@richardaberdeen and I'm sure there are atheists that do the same thing & i'm against that too. Religion scares me; it scares me because it's self-interested & self-asserting. The way that it's used, it blocks free thinking & relies on faith in your faith, & that there are people here that know what god wants. It's powerful & dangerous. "Science can help you build a bomb, but only faith will make someone use it." The faith that they're right, the faith that they're doing god's work, either way.

@richardaberdeen I don't know about others, but I'm not interested in outsmarting anyone, whether that be you, another believe or Jesus. I'm interested in people living a good life & in the liberty of all people. While there is some good to religion, the kind that is used right now throughout the world is more of a prison than anything else. People are brainwashed as children to be arrogant about their beliefs & dismissive, as well as hateful towards anything outside of their circle.....
