Part 1 of The Ocoee Parking Lot Bluegrass Jam's Happy New Year's Wish for you. Several fine jammers and good friends returned and joined the other players for this year-end 2011 session: Judie Lewis ("Blackberry Rain" lyricist), Phil Gregory (vocals/guitar), Pat Moran (dobro), and Bill Barnard (guitar). Among the "unsung heroes" you don't usually see, I managed to get a shot of bassist/singer, Bill Miller. His "ear" and sense of timing is the glue that holds everyone together. It's a joy to watch the interaction as everyone plays.

  • @lovegermanshepherds Hi Cheyenne, thanks! I really appreciate the selections and values represented in your channel. I'm a former GS friend. They're the best as far as I'm concerned. Just not enough room to get another one here in Florida. Our last one, Governor Dude, lived a long and happy life. Thanks so much for your contact.

  • @grizzlyten Cheryl, thank you for keeping in touch and for the kind remarks. I will pass them along to Judie Lewis, who wrote the lyrics. She's the female vocalist in the video, and her husband, Jack is the banjoist. Jack co-founded the Jam 21 years ago.

  • I was just in the middle of watching this and I lost my internet connection, lol !!

They are all so amazing. I love that Blackberry Rain song. It's the first time I've ever heard it. This is the biggest reason why I love Youtube so much - I get to listen to music I've never heard before. Thanks so much! I always enjoy your uploads. I faved this.
