A short animated (rostrum camera) film from my final year in 1981 to promote a fictitious exhibition of Eschers work.

The theme was a journey (hence the continuous movement) through the 'eye' of M C Escher, which results in the zooming out of his eye at the end...

To produce all the zooming, rotating and pans, was an arduous task in the days of no computers!. Each sequence required you to work out the start and end points, the time you wanted it to occur and then divide by 25 frames per second, then plot that out on the platen that the artwork was on and remember to take an exposure on the rostrum (and check the exposure settings).. took weeks - you could do this in seconds in iMovie etc these days...
