Hi
I made this video as I could not find any related to the Nikon 18-200 mm lens. In this video, I've demonstrated how to remove the front element of the lens to remove dust stuck behind. You can use lens cleaner to remove dirt or haze, etc.
To put back, simply do the steps again in reverse order. Thanks
Anyone has disassembled the 18-200 completely? Please upload

  • Nothing. It is an air blower.

  • Its a gadget i made myself. Its a piece of aluminium i cut and put insulation tape all round to protect the lense from any scratches.

  • nice video but did it really help? My house has so much dust i think i would get more in the lens than out haha.

  • @sendkeys Hi May be its a good idea to start with your house first!!

  • Hi

I just want to say thank you for this video, it was a big relief for me.

    Thank You

  • I have one Nikon 18-200 to and with dust, thanks dude for your video tutorial. Thanks again :)

  • Ill tell you all what really pisses me off,my Canon G10 which has been carried loose in my pocket, left in the car,etc etc has no discernable dust inside the lenses, yet my £630 Nikon 18-200mm lens is full of dust. This is enough to completely put me of DSLRs and their expensive lenses.

  • what solution have you used in the black yellow dropper.

  • the plastic key you introduce in 3:48, where do I find it?

  • Brilliant! I removed the fungus from my lens which was all on the inside surface of the front element. My lens did not have the first outer ring shown in the video. I only used a small flat screwdriver in the 2 indentations to loosen then my fingernails to unscrew the front lens element.

  • Great video! Question, what was the black paper looking ring you removed first with the tiny screwdriver before removing the element? I need to replace it on my VR lens as it is cracking and peeling and have no idea what it is called.
