Korg Electribe EMX Live Garrison Panyan

Live jam on Korg Electribe EMX. A mix of written parts and lots of improv. Occasionally I have karate hands or bounce up and down. Gear used: Alesis Q25 MIDI keyboard, Korg Electribe EMX1SD, Behringer Eurorack mixer, recorded on a Tascam 8 track digital Portastudio. Video recorded on a Nikon camera, hope the audio/visual syncs well. Enjoy!

yoyo short question : how can i play multiple notes at one time when i have my midikeyboard connected to the EMX ?

@TheKaniq94 Well, even with MIDI board connected, the EMX is still monophonic, so there's no way to play polyphonically. However, you can use the MIDI board to control one synth, and use the EMX itself to control another synth, so that's duphonic... Although it's awkward to play the little numbered squares like a keyboard.

Alesis Q25 - which operative system do you use to this.. keyboard win7 64 bits 32 bits¿?

@Xclnt507 I'm actually just using it to control the synths on the Korg Electribe, through MIDI, so the operating system is the Electribe's synthesis engine. It does have a USB Out port, if you wanted to use it with your computer, however I don't think the operating system of your computer will make a difference, because you will be using the keyboard to control music software that you already have on your computer. The keyboard itself doesn't make sounds, it's just a familiar interface layout.

How do you enter the assignment data entry on this keyboard... for example ""aftertouch""" reverb depth ect!!!

What soundcard do you use to have a best latency and performance in the alesis q25¿?

@Xclnt507 There is a button you press, which allows you access to the MIDI routing functions. Above each key on the keyboard is a function, and you press the keys and use a slider to adjust the amount of the function. This is also how you set control changes, etc. It's fine for setting volume, reverb, aftertouch and so on, because those parameters each have a discreet key on the keyboard allowing you access to them... for more complicated MIDI programming, it's inaccurate and inconvenient.

@Naynap81086 I do not own one yet. I've stayed a "bedroom dj" for almost 6 years, while also using various music programs (Reason 3.0; Logic Pro), but I still wasn't fully satisfied with the results I got. I've always dreamed of being able to write a song on the spot based off my emotional state of mind. This requires being able to minipulate any part of the track whenever I feel the need to, as well as adding or taking away, as you have done here. ...I WANT ONE... ^.^
