I agree with you. Canada Post must stay a universal, public service. If it gets privatized and sold off. Places like Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary etc will see improved service. But everywhere else will just see increased prices with no service improvments. This is what happened when Translink bought out BC Transit. This is not fair to the hundreds of thousands of people living outside the lower mainland. Stay strong brother.

STOP the deregulation of Canada Post!!! STOP Moya Greene and HARPER!!! Two freaking evils coming together!!! Harper is "in bed" with Greene...as grotesque as that image is,it's true. Canada Post will no longer exist once they get through with their damage!

If the post office deregulates, what happens to the pension plan?
What happens to the pension plan even if Moya's Modern Post goes ahead and we lose a large portion of the membership?
Has anybody looked at this aspect yet?
Oh, and people only have to look as far as the U.K. to see what privatization will do to their postal service.
