Just wait until you hear the Once An Outlaw CD. HT, CA, RT, MY, and DD found the groove again! It's the best Outlaws recording in 30 years. Miss ya Buster, Billy and Frank!
I saw them several times in Columbus, the last was at AlRosa Villa. Stood in front of the speakers, I think I still hear ringing, and that was back in the 80s!
@BuckeyeInNC I was at that Show. Legend Valley was the name of the venue. It was The Dixie Jam. the outlaws, The Allman Bros., Molley Hatchet, Flat and Scruggs.Marshall Tucker and i believe CDB.....But i may be mistaken on CDB...
saw them first time @ Saratoga Performing Arts Center...they were virtually unknown in upstate NY at the time....opening act (1 of 3) for Blue Oyster Cult on opening day of SPAC for the year. Amazing then...amazing today...best guitar band of all time!!!!
i am 55 y.o. and i still listen to 'bring it back alive'. "Holiday" on that recording has been the track that defines who the Outlaws are to me but this one into 'lover boy' into 'there goes' is the freaking bomb...dang i wish i had an HT and BJ screensaver....i only got to see them twice 1- 1978 a cornfiled out by Buckeye lake in OH and 2- 1980 an arena on the U of COLO campus...both times feelin fine on 714 cuz of freddie...
