Starting my worn out 1954 Briggs & stratton

This engine has been working on an airport most of its life, and the cylinder and bearings are so worn out, its hard to start and smokes. But it runs OK, and i like it. Its a 150cc, with around 3-4 hp.

do you have a idea on how to adjust the idle on a old (1960-1980) briggs 5 hp?

@labrieexpert2000 If the fuel/air mixture screw is adjusted properly, you just adjust the small flathead screw on the throttle lever on the carb

I found one of these but it's rusty and seized. Is it worth fixing?

@MrMoto1998 If you are thinking about earning money, it's not worth it. At least it's hard to earn money on it, but if you want to learn about engines and/or restore a classic engine, it's worth it.

You should hone out the cylinder, change the rings and bearings and restore her! Antique Briggs here, it would be worth it!
