BEUMER autover® Baggage Handling System

To support fast, safe and flexible baggage handling, modern airports need a high-performance baggage handling and distribution system. The BEUMER autover® system -- an intelligent destination coded vehicle system (DCV) -- offers a reliable handling system to meet your individual requirements. The BEUMER autover® system comprises a passive rail system and individual vehicles, known as BEUMER autoca®. A central computer running the BeSS (BEUMER Sortation System) logistics software assigns jobs to each vehicle.

The BEUMER autoca® vehicles are equipped with an on-board controller and drive system and move autonomously, quietly and independently along a rail system at speeds of up to 10 m/s. The BEUMER autover® system relies on contactless power and data transmission. The lack of wear parts, and a rail system that is essentially maintenancefree, reduce total operating costs.
