It's been sixty two days since my accident.
I was driving home from work at midnight, and crested a blind hill,
I hit a golf cart that was driving in the middle of the road with no lights driven by two eighteen year olds who had been drinking.
I hit them going 58.
I ran to the boy lying in the road, checked his pulse, and then saw his face.
He graduated last year from high school.
MY high school.
I knew the boy that later died of his injuries.
My hurt has not dulled once.

@Justhomester don't get me wrong i've had a lot of family members die. my comment was simply meant to show respect to this amazing song not to alienate anyone commenting about losing family members in fact i like seeing those comments because it means those people have somewhere to share their pain.

Thank you dad, thanks for being my role model. I don't think it was fair on anyone how early you were taken. Rest peacefully dad.
It always swells me up with pride when people tell me how much I look and act like you. You were the most awesome guy I knew.
