"FreeWave" Accelerometer based Hand Gesture Recognition Framework - Prototype Evaluation

"FreeWave" is an accelerometer based gesture recognition framework capable of recognizing hand gestures using data received from accelerometers.

What's unique about this project is that we've decentralized this entire approach so not only can you use it with lots of phones and applications, it builds a whole new eco-system of developers who can use the framework to connect virtually any device, any application, any new recognition algorithm, or even write a custom mobile applications that use gesture based interaction and sell it on the app store!

Currently FreeWave supports iPhone, iPad, Nintendo Wii, Most Android phones and 38+ other devices, 7 Recognition Algorithms and 6 applications including Counter Strike and Need for Speed :-)
