While WEAC activists were mounting a protest at the New Berlin school board meeting, taxpayers responded in-kind. The New Berline school board is taking advantage of a cost-saving law enacted by Gov. Scott Walker. EAGtv reports from the scene.

  • Way to go WISCONSIN for sending a message loud and clear to the teachers and their union that we know that the last thing they have at heart is the interest of our children. JOB WELL DONE.

  • Pretty gutless of the union supporters to walk out in the middle of that guy's rant. Guess they didn't like being told that their performance compared to other OECD countries is piss poor. Mind you, not sure if the union can be blamed entirely. After all, there are teachers unions in many of those other countries beating the pants off the USA. Maybe Americans are just becoming dumber than ever before...

  • That dumb old bag in there says the US and Wisconsin are broke, like it's the fault of the citizens. The Wisconsin budget was in surplus before Scott Walker gave millions in tax breaks to the huge corporations who hardly pay any income tax. The US is in debt, because they shipped all the jobs overseas, and the cost of all of the wars. Wake the fuck up!!

  • Socialist are communist who are afraid of commitment.

  • @sozfan1 unions need to reform themselves or risk having their contracts broken b/c people can't afford it

  • @sozfan1 e.g., a national nurses union is aggressively petitioning key congressmen to impose a wall street sales tax! if only more unions backed this, it might happen, and that would be great for main street.

  • A smart union would take their fight to the Wall Street banksters, the Fed, and DC politicians that robbed us all in the first place, which is why we have austerity, not because of unions. See "Secret of Oz" by Bill Still. Otherwise, it's a losing battle--they might as well give up and negotiate some cuts.

  • @Terra812 Really?? I had not heard that, and this should be made public knowledge all over the State! If you have any things I can read, post and pass on, I'd love it! That would be the ultimate 'double-dipping'...

  • Who would have thought running around intimidating small businesses and locals would create such backlash, but then again facts never got in the way of their agenda before.

  • "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."

    Winston Churchill

  • Help SAVE AMERICA ..KILL all public unions and starve the taxpayer funded DEM political machine
