  • If people are treated equally, if lands are not occupied in Aden and other places becuase some red-eyed officials or their relatives decided to, if scholarships are are not all given to certain people's sons, if national wealth is not patronized by few families up there, if jobs are not only for surnames up there, if people are given respect and dignity in their daily life and in their own cities and towns and they don't feel they need a godfather from the north to get things done. Then UNITY!

  • I'm living in UAE now. Studied under English schools so, yeah, that's the most obvious reason.

And yes, I've taken TOEFL. Thank you for the compliment. :)

  • Communism was indeed the dark chapter, but we could easily brought ourselves back up again. We were so few in number, and our resources were enough for us. This, I think, is what plagues us Southerners now. We look back on that major mistake of uniting. Inshallah that mistake will be fixed... some day.

  • Please do not bring Communism into the fold. Many countries were under Communist establishment, and were suffering then, yet they are doing quite well now. We weren't given a chance to bring ourselves back up, that shithead al-Beedh pretty much sold off our independence. You forget we had Ali Naser before- he was a fantastic leader.

  • poverty is every where i do not know about the situation in the south this problem can be solved by many ways if there is wise government that knows what to do and how to fix the situation because Ali saleh and his gang ruling yemen with tribalism mind and under this govenment neither the south nor the north will have any improvment i like you english did you learn that in yemen? sounds like you have the TOEFL OR something equal to it your writing is so good

  • sister i want you to make me sure because i believe me under this moment or under separation you will not improve. there is an example before 1994 there was north yemen and south yemen you guys did not improve as i indicated above the sotherners are not weak we you keep saying that you guys are weak

  • I only agreed in the situation of poverty (which is not even equal- no one can deny that the Southern region is poorer).

  • No, I assure YOU, that YOU are wrong about how things won't improve. We wouldn't have protested if we didn't believe there was some light at the end of that rainbow. The most difficult part is actually gaining that freedom, which take several decades to maybe never, but we carry hope.

The South, population wise, is quite weak. And we're under the control of such a dictatorial regime, which has a strong iron grip on us.

  • you said there is something i am right about is the war, but let tell you something everything i have stated since we started this debate i was right about and if you read your comment you will see every time you reply to me you say right indeed or true
