@kotetsu131 It's ambiguous if Gretel was a female or male. Same with Hansel. Some females can hit pretty low notes, though.

@Buradori0 when you say EoE, I assume you mean End of Evangelion?

Just finished this arc. That was the single most F*cked up thing I'll ever allow myself to sit through.
Jesus, It makes EoE look like a god damn nursury ryme.

its horrible to think that stories like theirs aren't to far from the truth.this is one of the best story arcs and defiantly the most chilling.

I'll never complain about my childhood ever again. Even if it was screwed up, it wasn't even in the same ballpark as theirs. May God let them rest in peace.

The World of Midnight Someday I want to run away To the world of midnight Where the darkness fill the air Where it's icy cold Where nobody has a name Where living is not a game There, I can hide my broken heart Dying to survive There, no one can see me cry The tears of my lonely soul I'll find peace of mind In the dark and cold world of midnight
This ending seems to say to me that they really were sacrificial lambs that were fouled to the point of moral psychosis as a survival mechanism through forced exposure to extreme violence. Their death then was a release from that hell, and they return to a pure state as by the innocence exhibited in this scene. At least that's how I read it....
Pretty song harmonically, although totally digitally engineered. There is no way a female could sing that bass line...

One of my favorite story-arcs in the series. You really can't help but feel sorry for those kids, considering that their entire lives was just fucked up.
