Back in the late eighties, I had a twice weekly office prayer meeting and one summer there was a prayer that surfaced "Lord show us things in the Bible we missed." Toward the end of the summer my wife began have dreams and visions and feelings that she must cover her hair for God's sake. She had not been reading the Scripture I Cor 11 on it.

We got a Mennonite bonnet for my wife from a patient and these events led us eventually to Eastern Orthodoxy. It is Apostolic traditoin

how do you keep that style on your head ? do you use pins . It's a very nice style .

This is just a basic pashmina shawl that I wrapped around myself. Underneath is a short, form fitting veil to cover my hair. If I were to wear this outside, I would wrap it as I do in my "Semi-hijab" video. :)

I am so blessed to have run across your channel. I have just recently come into the knowledge of Christian head-covering and totally feel led to do that. I know it's not mandatory to do all the time, but as you said, I feel led to go farther as a means of abasing myself and dealing with my pride. Thank you for spreading The Truth and not being ashamed to speak out about your dedication to growing in your walk with God. I'm truly inspired to keep going :)

Sister, thank you for standing up for the Biblical and ancient tradition for women. More Orthodox and non-Orthodox women need to realize how important veiled prayer is! I hope that you can help demonstrate true Christinity to Muslim women so they can also come to Christ! May His mercy and blessings be with you!

I love the headcovering! I converted to Orthodox two years ago and I was always told that the purpose of covering your head is for modesty. I have been to several churches now and in some Orthodox churches, the majority cover their heads and other's don't. I never thought of it wearing it all the time because I never wanted to stand out or make a statement. I never wanted to people to think that I was more pious than I actually am haha. Just curious...do you where it all the time?
