@accgolf1 Eric, I finally discovered my shanking the ball was because of coming too far from the inside and swinging to the right. I knew I wasn't coming over the top because of the swipe marks the mat left on the sole of my club which I was misreading. I finally fixed this alone by concentrating on hitting the back of the ball, not the inside. I've always drawn the ball, I just let it get out of hand but thanks for your reply
JHaley...sorry for the slow response. I just saw your question and hope you are still playing! The great majority of the time, a shank comes from the club coming outside to in, in the downswing. Put a shoe box a couple of inches to the right of the golf ball (longways) so that an "over the top" swing will initiate contact with the shoe box. Your club path will improve immediately, but it will require a lot of repetition to take it to the course. Good luck!
I've been shanking the ball for the last 3 months. My video (which isn't super slow) says i'm coming from the inside too much BUT the swipe marks on the sole of club says i'm coming over the top. Can you please help me fix these shanks? i'm on the verge of quitting. I've tried every cure on here.

this is a great drill. I have used it to practice on the driving range and it helped to improve my swing and ball flight.
