The TV series was definitely superior to the movies (rather contrived antics). Sunday Day George was my favorite actress and one of two beauties of this very popular series. Too bad the Tom Cruise movie versions were so deplorable.

The opening shots are great teasers. Because it is done like flash-flash-flash, the viewer hasn't enough time to digest the goings on. But it all looks intriguing. What's more, in the early series episodes especially, after the the opener we typically see a nice car calmly parking and Phelps walking to the drop off point to get the tape and photographs. This serene beginning is excellent juxtaposed with the helter skelter events we saw and know are to come.

que buenos recuerdos, estas series si que eran buenas..... me encantaba, no la perdiamos. La pelìcula (1) me desilucionó.....

@elmerfusco Tom Cruise with an ensemble cast? No way. He wants to be the center of the attention, the lone hero. You're right, the show was about teamwork, people working together.

RIP Peter Graves. You were one of the very best!!!

What about to post the entire music?
What I find amazing about this show is that there was no character development at all, and yet it still managed to be exciting and absorbing. I mean: the principals hardly ever showed spontaneous emotion; it was all a question of logistics for them, and yet everything was worked out so carefully, and timed so precisely, that the plots managed to be suspenseful anyway. A remarkable show. Nothing else quite like it.

You're right about that! Character development was sacrificed almost entirely because there simply wasn't time for it with all the plot intricacies. There was also a conscience decision to avoid character development to keep the mysterious nature of the IMF team intact.

When was Leonard Nimoy's character introduced to the show?

Season 4 introduced Paris, played by Leonard Nimoy.

Another fantastic job, Crocoboxer...you seemed to save the best clips for the last shots before the cast intro. In this one, Phelps (who looked great in the sweater, btw) appears to slap Cinammon. Was that the case?

Yup, he sure does slap her. Of course, it's all part of an act played out to fool a hit man/mob boss type into sympathizing with Cinnamon. The last shot in the majority of the opening segments was usually something physical: someone getting slapped, punched, karate-chopped or shot. My personal favorite is a second season episode in which the final shots shows Phelps tossing a pump shotgun to Willy and then he looks down at it and pumps it - ready for action!
