The Jonny B Experience - A Testament Against Dictatorship

A song I wrote and produced in December 2010 about the negative effects of dictatorship in various countries throughout the world.

Keep on walking, til the soles burn through
Hear them talking, it doesn't solve the issues
Digging a hold in the ground is no feat
We gotta rise to the top and withstand the heat
Don't give into their lies and the allegories of this cave.

Yet, we find it's easy to oblige
To the subterfuge that's well disguised
Using our pain...
Fueling our hate...

Now we're watching, anger transpire in the streets
Social stalking, commonality so discreet
We can't fix a problem looking down at our feet
We gotta look in the distance, run and never retreat
When we finally find the truth propagate these fresh seeds in the ground

Pain to fuel our hatred
Neglecting all the ones who are waiting for
A better life, an honest strife, a chance to be exposed
To the world around us, a choice to live without your power imposed
On the choices we all make, on the faith of our own homes.

We need devolution of society
In the absolution of this tyranny
The families unaware of their lack of mediocrity
On one side there's war, with the sick and the poor
While on the other the leaders fill their hunger with the fears
of the children and mothers who know nothing than other to worship these authors of indoctrinating orders
So when will this stop?
Enough tears have dropped
Atop of the soil that no longer grows crops
So while I want to believe that change will come to be
For now I need to provide for those who are still alive and
are willing to end the provocation of war
that's fallen upon our land, coming around the bend...
