@Bingelo you dont want to eat lake trout over a certain size because they carry something in their meat that could make you very ill

well my first lake trout if ever caught was 46 pounds, caught it on lake nipigon :) got it mounted caisted about $500

What a peaceful body of water, great day. Nice camera work. I'll be sure to film some lake trout action this upcoming week if we're lucky to land some.
I love lake trout fishing, preferred method being vertical jigging. It's always a thrill to be chatting away with your buddy then all of a sudden bam. My largest has been a 12 lb. which was nice I thought. One day I'd like to fish a water body containing larger trout but until then it's still good fun catching the smaller fellas.

Thats a small trout man i doesnt even look close to a master which is 35 inches how big was it?

Wow, that's pretty harsh, dude. Why so negative??? It was a pretty nice fish that weighed 14 lbs. Not huge for a lake trout, but I would never call it small. Did I call it a Master?? Don't know what that is. We released this fine trout.

Thanks for the return reply. I would love to see a HUGE laker like that, but I have not fished for them much. The record for this lake is around 35 lbs. My biggest is 18. I know how you can become a bit jaded after being spoiled by giant fish. I have had a good share of big browns in the last few years and a 5 lb fish is not what it used to be.
