@RileyE104 .... for one year....

The only major disagreement I have with Ron Paul is that I wish he supported universal health care.

@AlphaMale593 He was an independent for a long time when the Republicans started on this ridiculous direction they're on. I think he went back to the Republican side because a) his limited government stance is somewhat consistent with republican idealogy, and b) it's difficult to even have a chance to be elected president as an independent. But you'll see he disagrees with Republicans almost as much as he disagrees with Democrats.

@imbarisaxy No I love Ron Paul and will vote for him if he gets the nod from the GOP as their prime nominee. I like Obama too but I LOVE RON PAUL! Read my previous comments before commenting me.Save me time and aggravation.

@jesse7037 So you are going to vote for Obama because you don't think Ron Paul would win? That is some pretty warped logic. Vote for the candidate that would actually do some good for the country and not bury us in more and more debt. If everyone was saying "well I'll vote for the other guy because he wouldn't win" then of course he wouldn't win. Ron Paul needs all the votes he can get and a WHOLE lot more people are paying attention to him now that the economy is in the trash.
Why is he a republican? He sounds like Dem to me.

You are badly mistaken. For one, he supports economic freedom. Second, he is what Republicans USED to be. Look up Calvin Coolidge. Look up Robert Taft. Look up Barry Goldwater. Modern Republicans lost their way a long time ago - Ron is trying to steer the Party back to its roots.

Also, at the beginning of the video he argues against Nation Building, which is a true Republican position to take.

I disagree with ron paul on a lot of things, but I appreciate his honesty. He is consistent in his libretarion pov. thats for sure. I do find it a little silly when he said we should have called pakistan and had them pick up bin laden, or getting rid of the CIA.. I find that naive... But a lot of what he says about less govt, in really every sphere public and private life, is right on !!

@sabbfan24 : On Pakistan.. All he's saying is we should respect international law, or else we set a precedent that for other countries to ignore it as well. Furthermore, he's been criticized by people saying he wouldn't have went after bin Laden.. That's just not true. A President Paul would have caught OBL much quicker, seeing as how he wouldn't have gone into places like Iraq. Also, he would have utilized the Constitutional tool of 'Letters of Marque and Reprisal' - look it up.
