Joe POV
It was 10:00 and I was walking over to her dorm. I really dont want to loose her again. Im not going to let her slip away that easy. I made my way up to her room but it was locked and she didnt answer when I knocked. I used the spare key and went in. she wasnt there. where the hell is she? After waiting a good 20 minutes Kelsey came stumbling through the door unable to keep her balance. I went over and caught her before she fell over.
Kelsey: Hey Joe!
I could smell the alcohol on her clothes and her breath. She had been drinking.
Kelsey: What are you doing here on this fine Christmas night?
Joe: its not Christmas Kelsey. Youre drunk.
Kelsey: arent you a pretty boy?
She came and started playing with my face. I pushed her away and tried to lay her on the bed.
Joe; why would you do this to yourself?
Kelsey: The teddy bear went to the club with us.
Joe: Oh really. So thats where you were last night too werent you? You were out getting drunk.
Kelsey: Geeeeze—you make it sound like a bad thing.
Joe: thats because it is.
She sat up and started tracing the features on my face again.
Kelsey: youre a pretty boy. Whats your name?
Hiccup. I pushed her back onto the bed. I went to the kitchen area and got her a glass of water. And some advil, I put them next to her bed.
Joe: you should get some sleep.
Kelsey: youre a funny boy.
Joe: please.
I took the water from beside her and splashed her with it.
Kelsey: What the hell was that for?
Joe: its trying to get you out of this, spell youre under. I dont know what changed you.
Kelsey: will you stay with me?
Joe: like I would leave you here alone after that stunt you pulled. Now go to sleep.
She nodded and laid down on the bed. After an hour I called the others to let them know I wasnt coming back tonight.
Angela: Hey Joe. Youre on speaker. Did you talk to her?
Joe: I tried, but I came and she wasnt here, and then she came back. Well more like stumbled in.
Angela: why?
Joe: She was drunk.
Angela, Amy, Nick, Kevin: WHAT?!
Joe: and thats where she was last night, and I dont know what to do with her.
My voice cracked. I was worried about what would happen after I left. Would she continue to drink?
Angela: Why would she do this?
Joe: I dont know, but Im really worried about her.
I sighed and ran my hand through my hair.
Joe: Im not coming back. I need to make sure she doesnt do anything stupid.
Angela: k. tell her in the morning that shes dead. Nothing good comes from being drunk. Just look at me.
Wait. Kelsey wouldnt sleep with anyone right? I mean shes not that dumb.
Nick: Dont say that Angela. And besides, you were with your boyfriend at the time, I dont think Kelsey would do that.
Angela: getting pregnant, or sleeping with someone isnt the only dumb thing you can do when youre drunk. That night I made out with some random guy that wasnt Preston. I didnt know what I was doing.
Ok this was making me feel better. Not! Now I have to worry if she cheated on me.
Joe: well I got to go. Well see you guys tomorrow.
Kevin: she is going to hear it from me tomorrow.
Joe; oh you have no idea.
I hung up the phone and sat on the bed next to her. She was now sleeping. Her chest rising and falling as she breathed. I laid next to her and kissed her cheek. She may be stupid, but I still love her. But oh boy shes in for it tomorrow. I moved to the other bed and set my alarm. Tomorrow was not going to be fun.
