Ware wa Excellen Browning, Aku wo tatsu tsurugi nari! Wait a second, that can't be right... can it? Welcome to Amateur Extension Theater 2000, where evil and pesky time limitations on cool music are cleaved in 'twain with equally extreme prejudice! I'm your ridiculously oversized sword-wielding host, Alkahest.

And yes, the MP3 file says Zengar instead of Sänger. I call fanboy prefs, since to me, it'll always be Zengar Zonvolt. THE SWORD THAT CLEAVES EVIL! But you can rename it if that bothers you any.

Released back in 2006, Super Robot Wars Original Generation: Divine Wars is an anime series based on Bandai and Banpresto's strategy series 'Super Robot Wars' (known in America as Super Robot Taisen). It condenses the plot of SRW: OG1 into a 25 episode story arc, dealing with the rise of Bian Zoldark and his world conquering DC Forces, the enigmatic machinations of hostile alien invaders, and the brave men and women who find themselves opposing these twin fires of destruction to protect the Earth we all know and love.

Some could argue that Sänger Zonvolt was born in the wrong era. He conducts himself with such honor and conviction, it's almost as if he's emerged directly from the middle ages, or feudal-era Japan. Regardless of whom he pledges his fealty to, rest assured that it is always with the intention to guard the weak, protect the innocent, and to cleave evil with his colossal blade.

As far as mechs go, he initially pilots the Grungust Type-3, a highly customized "Super" class robot armed with a Zankantou, or Colossal Blade, which is highly adept at cutting through any and all targets unfortunate enough to be caught in its wake. Later on, he upgrades to the Dynamic General Guardian, or Dygenguar, a specialized mech created for him by the late Bian Zoldark to help Sänger continue defending Earth from all threats that might yet arise.

'The Sword That Cleaves Evil' is cool in any format, but you gotta love the orchestral treatment it got for Divine Wars. Don't you? Because I know I sure did, and hey, I wasn't a huge fan of Sänger's theme. I liked it, sure, but didn't love it. After hearing it in this format, though, wowie! Awesome.

Four down, but one more SRW extension to go for this week! And the reason I've saved this particular theme for last, is that I was concerned it might override all the others after it... hint-hint.
