caruso81, After listening to Mr. Lomeli, I must agree with you. He was really straining at the end. He is very talented but needs better advice on repetoire selection. What's the hurry. Take some time and develop naturally. I think you're right Caruso.

The second phrase, on low D, shows that this aria is not for his voice. But every tenor, no matter how light, is expected to sing it as an encore. Surely, he will not be foolish enough to tackle the role.
