So Canada is #4 and the US is #88?!!! What does that say? Neighbours. Peaceful boarder. But totally different. Unreal. Go Canada!

By "use drugs," just to be specific, I mean those in prison who are just there for illegal drug use exclusively. Keeping them there is a waste of prison space that can be used for people like child molesters and murderers. Maybe using modernizing the prisons would help as well.

I am certainly not wanting my country's prisons to be void of those criminals, but we could at least release those who use drugs, and promote education to prevent crime. Maybe we could also use better methods to keep more prisoners from returning to prison but still be productive members of society.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO??

FREE ALL the MURDERERS, RAPISTS, CHILD MOLESTERS and TERRORISTS from the PRISONS?? Or just EXECUTE them right away?

Ever since the prison population exploded since the 80s, crime rates went from record highs to now record lows as the prison population grew. All this meant was more criminals are locked up instead of recommitting crimes on the streets and getting away with it. TOUGH ON CRIME WORKS!

The United States sadly incarcerates more of its population than Russia and North Korea, which also had a very heavy cost on its GPI rank. This is one of several aspects of America I am embarrassed about ad an American. If I had the ability to resurrect one of our founders, I cannot see why any would be so overwhelmed of how behind we are.

In case anyone is wondering, other nations on the top ten include Japan (5), Ireland (T6), and Slovenia (8).
