My entry for the FXHome and TubeTape "Movie Trailer Challenge" 2010.

Competition Rules:
"Make a movie trailer."

"Open to everybody. Entries must be between 30 seconds and 3 minutes in length."

"It doesn't matter what style or genre, and you can base it on an original idea or do a parody of a real movie. What we're looking for are effective trailers: they need to make us want to see the full movie, even if it doesn't actually exist at this point."

[The trailer was created especially for the competition so the actual film doesn't exist. However the trailer is based on an old short film idea I had, which I would like to make at some point.]

Devastation and Revenge and Time Passes by Kevin MacLeod

  • the part where the wall crumbles and you see the planet.. PLEASE make a tutorial on that part that looks soo cool!!!!!

  • @Foxrida101

Cheers. The main elements of that shot are made from these tutorials in After Effects. For the wall shatter (Toolfarm - Bricks Shatter Tutorial) and this for the planet (VideoCopilot - Dead Planet).

  • I really like this! Love the style and feel. A standout on youtube. You're very talented so keep up the great work.
